The Infineon TEL4966V changes the two Hall probes from horizontal to vertical.This design innovation enables the TEL4966V to detect in-plane magnetic fields and provide rotational direction and speed information,which previously required two sensors.The product enables system manufacturers to reduce the cost of producing sensors by an average of 30 percent and shorten inspection and manufacturing time by up to 50 percent.With a power consumption of 4mA to 7mA,the TLE4966V is suitable not only for energy-sensitive electronic vehicle systems,but also for escalators,motorized curtains and blinds.
　　This allows slightly different signals to be detected at any given time due to the distance between the two Hall probes.During a change in rotational direction,the phase difference causes the polarity to change.The TLE4966V generates a corresponding signal when it detects this change.TLE4966V has two signal output terminals:one is the signal output terminal of the rotation direction of the magnetic pole rotor,and the other is the signal output terminal of measuring the rotor speed.The signal is triggered by a change in the polarity of the magnetic field.
　　The TLE4966V performs signal processing on-chip,which provides system designers with significant advantages:the sensor provides detection information in only 20µs,and there is no need to program the microcontroller,so there are no programming errors,improving system quality.The TLE4966V can operate from an unregulated power supply and is suitable for systems ranging from 3.5V to 32V.
